Sandip University incepted in the year of 2017 located in Sijoul, Madhubani covering a land of 135+ acres. We have strong foothold in the soil of Bihar to cater the locals with world class education. Sandip University has more than 7 Schools, which provides about 50 varied courses in several disciplines. Sandip University Sijoul, Madhubani offers career- oriented multidisciplinary courses at all levels, i.e., UG, PG, Ph.D and other additional courses across diverse streams including Agriculture, Education, Engineering, and Management that are relevant to the changing needs of time for the students and groom them in such a way that they would be an inspirational with the young dynamic leadership qualities.
The Government of Bihar vide its Notification dated 08.06.2017 notified that in exercise of powers under Section 6 of Bihar Private University Act 2013 (Bihar Act 20,2013) after assessment and perusal of the proposal permitted Sandip Foundation, Nehru Road, Mulund (W), Mumbai-400080 to establish and operate "Sandip University" in Sijoul district at Madhubani. On 8th June 2017 the Government of Bihar, Dept. of Education, vide its Gazette Notification No.25 dated 21.06.2017 notified the establishment of Sandip University, Sijoul in exercise its power under section 6 of Bihar Private University Act. Sandip University is the first self-financed University of Bihar.
The vision of Shri Mahavir Thakur School of Agriculture Sciences is to improve rural livelihoods and sustainable food system in India. S.M.T. School of Agriculture Sciences is currently providing B.Sc. (Agriculture) & B.Tech (Agriculture) education to students. It is also focused on research, entrepreneurship development and training for sustainable agriculture, environment, rural development and agriculture based industries
The purpose of celebrating Kisan Mela is to create awareness among farmers about the latest agriculture-related innovation under nature-based farming. This programme is designed to make farmers & students aware about natural farming through cultivation of Nutri-cereal in Bihar. It is also framed for the holistic development of the farmers & students through their participation.
